Lore Items

Bleak Emissary

Value: Low

Appearance: A simplistic automaton carved from the bone like material of the Bleak, this figure appears little more than an animated mannequin.

Description: Created by Archfey and other powerful casters to travel to the land of the dead while still living, this automaton can be synced with a living soul on the Mortal Realm via a casket designed to hold their slumbering body while their mind travels the Bleak.

While sleeping in the casket, the synced automaton in the Bleak animates, serving for all intents and purposes as the user sleeping in the casket. In the body of the automaton, their Kick Ass, Bad Ass and the results of all Casting or Divinity Checks are reduced by 1.

If the automaton is destroyed or deactivated, the user reawakens in the casket. The automaton can be deactivated by a switch usually hidden under a panel somewhere on its body. Creatures with the Soulless Feature cannot use this item.

Dreamer’s Arterial Ring

Value: Low

Appearance: An enchanted ring surgically implanted around the pulmonary artery, this item is difficult for even a skilled mage to detect.

Description: Infusing the blood with altered dream mana drawn from the Dreamwilds, this item bestows upon its host some of the effects of inhabiting the Dreamwilds, regardless of realm.

They do not age no matter how much time passes and are immune to non-magical diseases. This item does not negate Influence Organism.

Felkner ID

Value: Low

Appearance: Manufactured appearing warn and indistinct, the emblem on this coins face vaguely resembles the distinctive parts of numerous major mercenary guilds.

Without careful study, an observer could easily mistake this ID for a damaged ID from any number of other guilds.

It still sports the four equidistant holes to let it easily be threaded into a pendant or bracelet.

Description: This identification coin lets Felkner mercenaries avoid clarifying what guild licensed them, being vary hard to distinguish from a damaged identification coin. It also lets them track their contracts and confirm that contracts have been completed with the consent of the contractor. However, it will not track their location or behavior.

Guild ID

Value: Low

Appearance: Varying in iconography between mercenary guilds, this small disk contains four equidistant holes to let it easily be threaded into a pendant or bracelet.

Description: This identification coin lets mercenary guilds track their members and gives licensed mercenaries proof of their employment and rank. Although features may vary, nearly all coins allow a mercenary to track their contracts, confirm that contracts have been completed with the consent of the contractor and have their location tracked by their guild.

Mating Ring

Value: Low

Appearance: A utilitarian metallic band, few would assume this item was enchanted.

Description: Designed for Denizen variants with multiple sexes, this ring allows its wearer to mate with similar individuals who would otherwise be incompatible.

As an action, the wearer can become any sex that exists within their variant. If the ring is removed, the wearer reverts to their base sex. Creatures that are not a Denizen variant with more than one sex are not affected by this item.

If the wearer is gestating offspring, they cannot become a sex that cannot bear offspring. Similarly, removing the ring does not revert the wearer to a sex incapable of bearing offspring if they are gestating offspring. Instead, the sex they were when becoming fertilized is treated as their new base sex, if it was not already.

Sitri Rations

Value: Low

Appearance: This airtight canister of powdered Servitor eggs has the obsidian luster of materialized essence. It’s label is printed in Low-Voidtongue, the image of a proto-Servitor coiled into a spiral prominent.

Description: Enchanted with preservation magic, the contents of this cylinder remain shelf stable indefinitely until opened, remaining edible for years after opening if properly handled. The cylinder contains 144 servings.

A creature that eats one serving (or food containing it) will have its nutritional needs satisfied for 1 day and be cured of malnutrition. This removes the need to consume other food, but does not make the creature feel full. Eating enough of the powder to fill its stomach or consuming other food will fulfill the desire to eat.

For the next 12 hours, the creature regains one Hit Point each hour. Once it is returned to its maximum Hit Points, its physical body will return to a flawless state, re-growing lost limbs and undoing all injuries without scars.

For the next week, the creature cannot gain any benefits from consuming the powder, beyond those of mundane powdered eggs. If the creature dies during this week, it returns to life 1d6 hours later with all base Features of the Servitor clan. Servitors are not affected by consuming the powder.

Tail Blade

Value: High

Appearance: A thin blade affixed to a curled handle, this weapon can be easily gripped by the tail of a Servitor or creature with a similarly dexterous appendage.

Description: Designed to exploit the agility of a Servitor’s tail, the wielder can Attack as an action (rather than two actions) once per turn, as long as they wield it in an appendage comparable to a Servitor’s tail. Attacks from the blade have weapon dice of 1d4.

Note: Although the blade can only Attack once per turn, that can be in addition to Attacks made by other limbs.

Servitor Fabricator

Value: Overpowered

Appearance: A wristband capable of projecting a control panel in the air above the wrist, it is easy to use… if you can read Low Voidtongue.

Description: This wristband can store up to 30 Essence Points (EP) at a time. For each 6 FP of an Essence User or Servitor wearing the wristband, it gains 1 EP an hour. In addition, it passively gains 1 EP an hour per EP in the environment.

It can replicate any object that it has a record of and is smaller than the wearer’s heart (or their heart should be if they lack one). As twelve actions, the wearer can touch a new item to scan it into the wristband.

Every item has a EP cost determined by the Game Master. Mundane items are normally 1 EP, but complex or magical items are more expensive based on value.

As twelve actions, the wearer can activate the wristband and lay an egg identical to a Servitor egg. This egg will not hatch, but can be broken open and contains the chosen item.

This wristband highjacks the Servitor reproductive system’s ability to create material from nothing to create the fabricated item. As a result, it only functions for a wearer with similar biology.

If the wearer is not a Servitor, the wristband alters their biology when first used. The wearer gains the Oviparous Feature of the Servitor clan and gains female reproductive organs similar to those of a Servitor if they lacked such.

Sitri Exoskeleton

Value: Overpowered

Appearance: The obsidian luster of materialized essence makes the wearer of this skintight battle suit appear to be carved from volcanic glass. Every inch is covered, from head to tail, the face an expressionless visor that hides all beneath.

Description: This suit can store up to 30 Essence Points (EP) at a time. For each 6 FP of an Essence User or Servitor wearing the suit, it gains 1 EP an hour. In addition, it passively gains 1 EP an hour per EP in the environment.

The wearer’s Kick Ass and Bad Ass increases by 1, and their Unarmed Dice increases by 4 dice types (1d2 to 1d8). To function, the suit consumes 1 EP every hour.

Sitri Healing Ring

Value: Overpowered

Appearance: The obsidian luster of materialized essence, this ring is otherwise unadorned.

Description: This ring can store up to 30 Essence Points (EP) at a time. For each 6 FP of an Essence User or Servitor wearing the ring, it gains 1 EP an hour. In addition, it passively gains 1 EP an hour per EP in the environment.

Each Turn, the ring expends 1 EP and its wearer regains one Hit Point. Once they have returned to their maximum Hit Points, their physical body will return to a flawless state, regrowing lost limbs and undoing all injuries without scars. If it has no EP, the ring does not function.
